Going to see Benfica at Estádio da Luz
Benfica at the Estádio da Luz
Benfica, Portugal's biggest club, play at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon: around 65,000 seats, a sea of red and a tradition you won't see anywhere else. Before kick-off the eagle Vitória flies a lap of the stadium and lands on the club crest at the centre circle. That alone is worth the trip.
How ticket sales work
Benfica members, and there are hundreds of thousands of them, get priority. The derby against Sporting and the Clássico against Porto are the hardest tickets to get. We sell official tickets in the home sections, so you sit among the Benfica supporters. Your tickets arrive before the match.
Getting there
Lisbon has direct flights from across Europe. The stadium is on the blue metro line; get off at Colégio Militar/Luz. Want to stay the night? Choose ticket with hotel for your match.
Frequently asked questions
Will I sit among the home fans?
Yes, our tickets are for the home sections. So please don't wear the away team's colours, and definitely no green against Sporting.
Do I need ID?
Bring it. Tickets are issued in your name, and you may be asked for ID at the gate.
When should I arrive to see the eagle?
Be in your seat well before kick-off. The eagle flies just before the players come out, and you don't want to miss it because you're still queuing at the gate.
