About this trip
A short weekend in Bologna, with Bologna against AS Roma at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. You fly out on Friday, see the match the same day, and fly home on Saturday. Short, but it has everything.
The Dall’Ara is a ground with character, opened in 1927 and known for its striking tower. Bologna play in red and blue and have shown in recent years that they can compete with the best in Italy. With Roma in town, a big name comes to visit, and you’ll feel it in the atmosphere.
Bologna itself is the home of Italian food. This is where real ragù comes from, along with mortadella and tortellini. Stroll under the miles of arcades through the old town, and in December the whole city is in a festive mood, with the traditional Christmas market under the arches.
You’ll stay in a good 3-star hotel. That’s a deliberate choice: in Bologna, it gives you more for your money than many 4-star hotels. The stadium is about a half-hour walk from the centre. We take care of the rest: your ticket, a night at the hotel and your return flight.
